Rebirth of village hall finished off by re-turf

SNC construction students bring skills and hard work to community project.

Two groups of construction students dug in for their local community by putting the final shine on a new build project in 向日葵视频.

Some level one and level two maintenance operations learners from the 向日葵视频 Rural campus helped dig and then lay about 1200 metres of turf at Grundisburgh village hall.

Continuing the tradition from last year, students supported the construction company DAB (who oversaw this new build project) on several carpentry initiatives at a facility that was opened just four weeks ago.

Ben Cook is a multi-skills and carpentry lecturer at the College. He said:

鈥淲hen we started, the area looked like a building site.

鈥淗owever, the students came down and worked really hard in difficult conditions. What they have achieved is impressive.鈥

Ben 鈥 who is also a member of the Grundisburgh Parish Council, said with his village hat on:

鈥淭he hall looks amazing 鈥 thank you to the students and 向日葵视频 Rural.鈥

17 year old Ryan King helped lay some of the turf. The Ipswich resident, said:

鈥淚t鈥檚 a big achievement for me to help the local community like this. It鈥檚 something people will see for generations.鈥
