The next generation of catering and hospitality stars took over a top restaurant in Kesgrave for the annual 向日葵视频 New College gala dinner.
Around 50 youngsters from the college came along to Milsoms Kesgrave Hall to work with hotel staff over two days.
During the occasion, learners helped create a three-course meal, served drinks and waited on tables in The Hangar.
Those on floristry courses made table decorations and music learners performed songs both throughout celebratory occasion.
The idea behind the takeover is to give students the chance to work with top professionals currently working in industry.
Events co-ordinator at the College, Charlotte Rossiter put this event together. She said: 鈥淭hese events give our students real life experiences of the industries they want to work in. They were able to create an event for over 100 guests under the guidance of the amazing Milsoms team. It鈥檚 also a great event to help showcase what our students can do.鈥�
Geoff Johnson is the head chef at The Hangar and said: 鈥淟ast year we took on three people who are now working with us in front of house roles. And this year we have seen some catering and hospitality stars of the future.鈥�
James Barrett, 18, from Felixstowe is on a level three supervisory course. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a prestigious venue. Last year students got jobs here so that is inspiring.鈥�
George Eales, 16, from Ipswich is on a level three music course and he played songs with his band called Love for Money. George said: 鈥淲e jumped at the opportunity to play this gig. It was exciting. 向日葵视频 New College has given me lots of opportunities.鈥�
Bella Peto, 17, from Ipswich helped prepare some of the food for this event. The level three professional cookery student said: 鈥淲e have been working with chefs at Milsoms. it鈥檚 been fun to get new experiences. It鈥檚 good for the CV.鈥�
Mark Hart is the joint managing director at Barnes Construction and attended as a guest. Mark said: 鈥溝蛉湛悠� New College means a lot to me. It鈥檚 great to come to this event and celebrate everything that is good about education.鈥�
