The learners created bug houses and bird boxes ahead of the county showcase at Trinity Park.

And at the time of going to press they had raised 拢450.00.

Riley Evans, 18, from Ipswich was one of the students involved. The site carpentry learner said: 鈥淎ll the money goes to charity. We raised 拢1,200 in 2024 and we are hoping to beat that this year.

Liam Airey, 17, from Ipswich is on a bench joinery course. He said: 鈥淚 helped make some of the items and I鈥檝e been selling them at the show. It鈥檚 good to do something nice for the community. Some of my family work for St Elizabeth Hospice so it makes me feel that in some way I am making their life a little bit easier.鈥

Elsewhere at the show, 向日葵视频 New College and 向日葵视频 Rural celebrated 55 years of farming. Equine students helped build showjumping courses. And Mark Richardson from the college sports centre won the mascot race for the second year running.
