Thousands of students successfully received their T Level and vocational results at 向日葵视频 New College today.
Learners were encouraged to come in and collect their grades in the same way that A level learners do. As a result of this, hundreds attended the four college campuses based across the county to enjoy their moment in the spotlight with their loved ones.
In terms of T Levels, 38 students studied on construction, health, digital production and design, education and early years, health and science pathways at 向日葵视频 New College.
A 100% pass rate was achieved by all students who took part in digital production and design, health and science pathways.
(The overall T Level pass rate was 82.4%).
In terms of other vocational results taken by students at 向日葵视频 New College – the pass rate for BTEC qualifications was 97.9% with 146 achieving positive grades with seven learners gaining top marks (a triple DDD* distinction).
For those who took UAL affiliated qualifications, the pass rate was 93.6% with 13.1% gaining top marks. (161 in total gained these qualifications).
One pupil with cause to celebrate is Tanner Minter, 18, from Stowmarket, who studied a health T-level and is in the top 0.2 per cent of T-level students in the country. He was only one of 14 people in the UK to secure a Distinction* and the only person in the country to gain one for his course.
Tanner said: 鈥淚鈥檓 very happy and not sure what is next. T- Levels provide a lot of face-face activities so it鈥檚 a good learning opportunity. At 向日葵视频 New College, you get treated a lot more like an adult than just a student which actually makes you want to learn, so it helps a lot. The support that we鈥檝e had is great.鈥�
Poppy Pemberton, 19, from Hadleigh, studied on a T Level in Childcare and received a distinction.
Finn Shanks, 20, from Ipswich, studied on a level 3 design course and received a Distinction.
He said he struggled at secondary school due to having Asperger鈥檚 鈥� but said the independence at 向日葵视频 New College gave him space to breathe and meet new people.
Finn added: 鈥淎rt is really self-directed, but having tutors who are professionals at the college is really good.鈥�
Marianne Flack is the deputy principal of 向日葵视频 New College. Marianne said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 been another fantastic year for everyone associated with the College and the class of 2024 have really excelled themselves.
